Mountain refuge in the Pyrenees Ariégeoises located in the Couserans at the foot of Mont Valier (2836 m).
At 2246 meters above sea level, its terrace, overlooking the étang Rond and étang Long (lac), is the stage for magnificent sunsets.
Its cuisine is made from high-quality local products, and its surroundings offer multiple hiking routes in the Mont Valier Domain Reserve.

Hors-période de gardiennage

Opening

Continuously from saturday, june 14th 2025 to saturday september 27th and saturday october 4th 2025.

Outside of the guarded period

A dormitory of 20 places is accessible, free of charge and without reservation. It is equipped with mattresses and a few emergency blankets; bring a sleeping bag.
There is also a common room without electricity, heating, or cooking facilities. Outside, there is an unsupervised drinking water supply and dry toilets.
For access, the Nerech footbridge is removed for the winter; use the indicated route on the right bank.

Bivouac

Allowed between 7 pm and 9 am, suitable area nearby,
drinking water and dry toilets at the refuge.
Reservation of meals is mandatory.

Tent rental upon reservation
(insulating mat provided).

We invite you to a friendly and festive evening for the opening of the Estagnous Refuge.

Starting from 6:30 pm, homemade aperitif followed by a Pyrenean meal.

Price all-inclusive for €60
(half board, aperitif, wine, coffee, herbal tea, digestif)

A gourmet meal at 2200m altitude and the conviviality of the refuge.
